We are a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering our members through a strong network that fosters social and economic relationships, creativity, innovation, and unity. Our objective is to support and uplift our community, particularly individuals and families from Western Kenya, residing primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area of North Texas.
We have a robust support system that helps members and youth navigate tough times. By registering Texas Umoja and different support groups within our non-profit organization, we provide avenues for financial growth and stability, benefiting both our members and the wider community, youth counseling, sports, and yearly medical services. Through our solidarity and support we offer each other; we ensure that no one faces challenges and good times alone and remain to be good citizens and productive in the community and the society we reside in.

Benefits
Joining Texas Umoja offers numerous benefits;
Umoja Enterprise LLC
Registered separately under the aegis of Texas Umoja, is the Umoja Enterprise Limited Liability Company. This is a voluntary profit seeking venture by members of Texas Umoja aimed at providing economic independence to the members. Members contribute a monthly fee of US$ 50 (or US$ 600 annually) as part of share purchase to the LLC.
Community events
We feed the needy, mentor the youth, and participate in enriching seminars. Be a part of our community and make a meaningful impact.
SOCIALIZATION AND COMMUNITY
We have social gatherings for members to get to know each other at an individual level and also among families. We meet once every month to catch up with each other, celebrate successes, encourage one another and even share a cup of tea.
ANNUAL GROUP VACATIONS
Each year, Texas Umoja organizes exciting group vacations that offer our members a chance to unwind, explore new places, and strengthen our community bonds. These trips are filled with fun activities, cultural experiences, and memorable moments, fostering unity and creating lifelong memories.
